Immeasurable development in infrastructure at the Bestari Jaya, Main Campus and Shah Alam, Satellite Campus have led to the establishment of a centre that is capable of coordinating and rendering a fully computerised service to ensure that UNISEL will be well-managed.
This Information and Communication Technology Center (ICT Centre) was officially established on September 1, 2004 as a decision of Management Meeting in August 2004.
The overall responsibilities of ICT Centre are that of coordination of ICT functionality within the functional departments of UNISEL.
- Advises on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) implementation.
- Operations and Maintenance of UNISELNet Data Communication Infrastructure, Internet and Intranet.
- MIS project end-user training and support.
- TCMS system design,development and software maintenance.
- Helpdesk services and End-user computing support (office automation, information systems, hardware and general ICT).
- Overall management of information resource.
- Database design, development, administration, management and maintenance.
- Web design, development and maintenance.
- Information Systems, Internet and E-Mail Servers maintenance.
- Information and Communication Technology consultancy.
- MIS project end-user training and support.
- PC and common accessory minor repairs.
- Systems (Hardware and Software) installation, maintenance, Configuration and upgrading.
Our Mission
- With the advent of Information Technology and Communication, it is the mission of the centre to establish UNISEL as an electronic university that is equipped with state of the art ICT facilities. It strives to capitalize on the usage of ICT in the university environment especially for administration, management, learning community and researcher.

- To use ICT optimally with the view to increasing efficiency among administration, management, learning community and researcher and endeavour to fit into the new global information and industry requirement.
Objective
- Planning, implementation and development of ICT infrastructure.
- To plan, develop, manage and determine the efficacy of the application systems for the administration, management, learning community and researcher of the UNISEL.
- To train end-users on computer literacy and offer end-user computing support.
- To plan, study and manage the procurement of the computer equipment of the UNISEL.
- Plan, provide, manage and monitor the network system of the UNISEL.
- To handle the maintenance of computer devices using information technology and communication.
- To provide expertise in the field of information technology to its users. To provide a conducive environment in its mission to develop an IT savvy community.

Functions Of ICT Centre
The ICT Centre is a technical service unit which performs a collection of relevant tasks, functions and skills necessary for the management of ICT in the University. Basically ICT Centre can be divided into 2 main units:
- Unit Sistem Maklumat (UPSU)
- Unit Perkhidmatan ICT (UPIC)
