Our philosophy in design education is like the Renaissance: shifting on from the conventional approach into the contemporary era and environment, utilizing and integration of old and new tools and methods and creating design for the betterment of industry but in harmony with humanity and technology.  With this ‘new’ discipline and methodology, our graduates will be prepared to work from simple to complex and demanding projects, in order to archive meaningful and relevant solutions, from within the local to global arena.

Our Mission

  1. To create awareness and develop a better understanding of design for the benefit 7 of all (users)
  2. To promote role of design in making businesses more competitive and productive, public services more effective and efficient, and tackling economic and social challenges.
  3. Campaigns to accelerate innovation and transformation in industry and the public sector through practical interventions promoting
  4. Innovation and development in industry and public sector can be further enhanced through the strategic use of design.
  5. Generating new thinking and approach on how design can be developed through the use and integration of conventional methods and new technologies.
  6. To research and understand the principles and elements of design so to be able to apply effectively in the development of design
  7. To understand and uphold the profession of design, its status in society, and the protection of intellectual property rights

Our Objective

  1. To develop an understanding in the studies of Graphic Design Communications as a mean of interpreting, forming, educating and persuading in the delivery of messages and data to society.
  2. To develop the student’s intellectual and physical facility and confidence in the expression of concepts, information and innovation through the techniques and processes of Graphic Design and Communication.
  3. To develop physical skills in the use of traditional and technological tools and media and their relevance to a variety of reproductive processes.
  4. To give students and introduction to, and understanding via the different course modules of a broad range of physical and technological tools in current use in the main areas of the creative industry.
